I am from Costa Rica. My ex is from Argentina. We came as tourists to Florida, and after all we decided to get divorced. We brought our lawyer from Costa Rica here as he didn't want to go to Costa Rica to sign.We signed, the lawyer went back, the court dissolved our marriage and its final in Costa Rica. Today someone told me my divorce is not valid for the state of Florida?

State of Florida recognizes foreign divorces if the divorce was properly granted in the other country.
