QUESTION

Is she still responsable?

Asked on Jun 26th, 2016 on Divorce - New Hampshire
More details to this question:
My wife decided 3.5 months ago that she wanted a divorce. She moved her belongings out of the condo we jointly own promptly there after. The condo went up for sale about a month ago, and is scheduled to be sold on the 29th of this month. Since the separation, I assumed the payments on the mortgage, as she was no longer funding the bank account where the mortgage was paid from. My question is, can I hold my separated wife responsible for the funds ($1600) and demand she pay me back?

You may request your wife to pay half.  Typically, court will order that the principal payments be reimbursed to you upon the sale but it may not be worth going to a hear on that issue a lone.  Best wishes.
