QUESTION

Is there any way to get my son back?

Asked on Jan 06th, 2018 on Child Custody - Colorado
More details to this question:
My mother had my son some years ago while I got the car fixed. We lived in Silverthorne, Colorado, and it was winter, lots of snow, still snowing. I left him when she enrolled him in school and got him into speech therapy, something he did need at the time. Then I got the call that social services was involved. They originally began with telling me they were going to send him home, then my mother started lying about me because she wanted him. I ended up moving to Colorado Springs and doing everything they wanted. Social Services lied to everyone involved in the case; me, my dad, my sister, my son's dad, everyone that was involved was told something different. I had a job and a roof. I transferred so kept my job. I've had at least 1 job since 2004 without fail. I have never done any drugs, or drank, or partied and been out at night. The pro bono lawyer they gave me back then told me she was going to help me lose my rights instead of get them. And I lost him. Is it too late?

Hey Brandi, sorry to hear what you went through and no it's not too late. It is never to late. Well, I always tell my consults, that if you decide to go with a free lawyer, just keep in mind that they do not have a personal interest in you or your case. They are using your case as a learning experience and to get paid from non-profits or court. That's just how it is. I would advise you to hire a lawyer, even if you have to save money for it. You don't have to hire us lol But yes, we can certainly assist you and we do travel for complex cases like yours to make a difference in people lives. Feel free to give us a call for a free consultation. Thank You.
