Is there anything he can do so he doesn't lose his son?

More details to this question:
My boyfriend was in a Relationship to a woman 7 years ago. She left him and came back to him Pregnant they both knew he was not the father but he still stayed with her and she has him sign the birth Certificate and give the child his last name. 6 years has pasted and he has been paying Child support and been seeing the boy and he knows him as dad. Now she wants to take him away and Terminate his Parental rights. Can he stop her or sue her for the support he has paid her ?

He does have some rights here. If a person has been acting as father for a substantial period of time, they can acquire both rights and responsibilities, in terms of custody, visitation and support. He should sit down with a lawyer to discuss what he can do.

She can try, but he should win. He needs a lawyer if she has one.
