QUESTION

Joint custody

Asked on Feb 01st, 2018 on Child Support - Texas
More details to this question:
My ex wife moved me away from our home town, in order to get custody of our sons. She and her family set me up. We had joint custody. She tried to get full custody by lying of abuse. Her original lawyer stepped down from the case after speaking with me. I lost my kids for reason, other than the fact she wanted more than I could give her. She was working at the time. We moved for her job. Why was she not ordered to share equal custody and pay child support. I missed out on my sons life's from working to pay child support, and get what time I could with them. I didn't have social life or remarried or other kids. It was everything I could do to be there for them. But I lost birthdays, summers, christmas, and so much more. Now they are grown, and it's too late. I didn't deserve to lose my son's over matieral wealth. She remarried just a year after our divorce, to the man she had having affair with. I want to sue the state of texas for allowing this to happen to men.

I am really sorry for what you went through. This is not only just a problem in Texas, its in almost every state. Women are favored in court and fathers are left to find a good lawyer that can fight tooth and nail for the client. It's never to late to be a father, you can still spend time with them now and make up for the lost time. We can certainly help you evaluate your options. But like you said, they are all grown now, otherwise, we would be happy to evaluate your options and help you. We can't undo what has happened since kids are adults now? Thank You.
