Legal custody

Asked on Sep 07th, 2013 on Child Custody - Ohio
More details to this question:
I'm 14 years old. My grandmother has had custody of me since I was 6, but now my mother is threatening to try to take me and my sister, age 12, away from her and move us to another state. We don't want to go. We are happy with grandmother and all our friends are here. Do we have any legal say in where we live? We live in Dayton Ohio. My mother signed papers giving my grandparents custody

If your moter files someting, your gradmother should make sure the court appoints a guardian ad litem for you and your sister. This guardian will most likely be an attorney who will talk with you and your sister and let the court know what you two want.
