QUESTION

Military dependent pay

Asked on Dec 08th, 2015 on Divorce - Wisconsin
More details to this question:
So my wife (soon to be ex) doesn't want to be married anymore but still wants me to support her. Legally I have to give her the amount I get for being married (like 200-300 depending on rank) but I'm paying every month for a car loan that she currently has (even though both the car and loan are in my name). Would this be considered supporting her since I'm paying for the loan?

If you are going through a divorce, either of you can request an initial hearing before the family court commissioner to deal with temporary issues of support, payment of debts, and all other financial issues, while the divorce is pending.  Your military pay is one of the factors that the court will consider, when setting  appropriate finanical orders.
