QUESTION

Modification and OTSC

Asked on Nov 24th, 2015 on Child Custody - Utah
More details to this question:
I had kept my daughter from going to her father's home against our decree of divorce. He sent me to court for contempt and we one of the things we agreed on is we can drug test each other whenever. I have the order on order to show cause in my possession. We ended up in mediation for modification of our decree of divorce, but does not state the drug testing in it. Can the modification cancel out the order on order to show cause?

Sorry, but without seeing the original orders, or the new orders including the modification, I am unable to answer your question. But, I do wonder why you agreed to modify the original order, and if all aspects of the changes were fully reviewed and implemented. You really should sit down with an experienced family law attorney to review your documents, and see what the full impact of your actions might be. I can assist in such a review, should you desire.
