More details to this question:
I was divorced in 2012. I was laid off 1 year ago as an IT executive from a high paying job. Since then I have been unable to land a similar job. My question is I want to start a business instead of continuing the job search. If I do that my income will be quite a bit less than when I was employed. Financially I am now down to my IRA. I want to use that to start a business. What is the likelihood I could get a favorable ruling in court if I went for a significant reduction in Alimony. She makes around $100k / year. Thx
