QUESTION

Motion - Need Help. Hackensack, NJ

Asked on Nov 19th, 2015 on Family Law - New Jersey
More details to this question:
I am preparing a Motion to reduce a child support. But without an attorney's help before the judge - it is not going to work well. Need help - maybe on a contingency basis. I can prepare a motion myself - all you will need to do is to review it - and maybe change a bit. And also appear in a court for 1 hour. It is a Bergen County Court - Hackensack, NJ. Thanks.

It is unlikely that a lawyer is going to take a family law case on a contingency basis.  You should try to file the motion yourself, perhaps speak to legal services and try to get as much information as you can before filing.  Make sure that you meet the criteria for reducing child support.  Has there been a change in circumstance?  are you disbaled and unable to work?  Do you have the child at your house for additional overnight visits?  Make sure that you have back up for each fact you allege in why you are entitled to reduce the amount of child support.
