QUESTION

My ex lied about transmitting HIV

Asked on Oct 28th, 2016 on Divorce - Texas
More details to this question:
My ex was in the hospital recently and I was about to leave him. He had stated that the doctor said he may have been HIV positive. But there was no paper work backing it up. He stated we wouldn't find out till a few weeks. So I freaked out and stayed with him. Telling him we needed to find out so we can start treatment. He procrastinated. So, I eventually left. I have gotten tested twice. Negative. I thought I was going to be alone for the rest of my life. I thought I wash going to die. I thought my life was over and I could never have children again.

Please add some information to let us know what you are asking.  If you are married and you file for divorce you could consider adding a claim to the pleading for  emotional distress.  That sort of claim is difficult to prove if you have not sought counseling or medical help as a result of the distress.
