My husband and I are negotiating a settlement of our divorce. Our separation agreement calls for my husband''s pension to be divided in half by a QDRO. I am in the process of hiring a new attorney. Will he or she prepare the QDRO? How will I know how the QDRO divides the pension (tax consequences, etc.)?
