More details to this question:
My husband and I have never lived together and got married in Jan 2012. We are both military and have decided that we do not want this marriage. If filed in NC it is required that the couple live separately for one year and a day? How would it work with us having never lived together at all?
Generally in North Carolina, a person must have been a citizen of the state for at least 6 months and have been separated and living apart from their spouse for one year. Depending on the circumstances, a person can get an annulment but in North Carolina it is very limited. You should consult with an attorney about the facts of your case to see if you qualify.
