That he engaged in a lawyer into starting a divorce proceeding, and I shall receive a letter soon. He also said that the lawyer doesn't want us to talk, and all conversations has to go through the lawyer, who is willing to speak to me with out my own lawyer. The issue is..I found out i am pregnant and I need to discuss it with my husband. No matter how much I try...I can't. I'm not sure what communicating through his lawyer will do.

It's not uncommon - that way the lawyer controls the conversation (and makes more money). You should strongly consider hiring your own attorney. If your husband is the one with all the money he will likely be required to pay all or most of your legal fees.
