I am the defendant in this case. Been married over 5 years now and we had our fair share of bumps along the way. However what ultimately led my wife to file for divorce was an incident that took place on Wed Dec-8 2021. On that evening I was intoxicated. Reason for this was I have had back issues with relentless pain and sleepless nights. I ended up drinking some wine which I drink occasionally however this time I decided to add some vodka to each glass of wine I consumed. I blacked out and later after getting arrested I found out the details as to what I had done. I destroyed a lot of property in the house for which I was arrested. During that time I have been off my mental health medications which I'm back on now. This was my first offense and I'm a veteran working with the VA and I do have a restraining order against me so no contact. I was told as long as I abide by the no contact and get back on my meds that this will most likely be thrown out of court with no record. It shouldn't
