My kids were born in va. They are 2 and 7 months. We have lived in texas for 5 months. My kids father has been extremely verbally abusive. Can the kids and i leave texas and move back to my family in va. We have never been married.

If you and the children have lived in Texas for a period in excess of 6 months, this may raise questions under the UCCJEA (Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Enforcement Act) and you may have to initiate the case in Texas. :((((
