QUESTION

Non Conforming Document

Asked on Nov 18th, 2020 on Divorce - Nevada
More details to this question:
My spouse and I e-filed for joint petition divorce with children. I submitted all paperwork required but received a clerk's nonconforming notice from the court. Title of Nonconforming Document: Decree of Divorce (x2) (Unsigned Order) The document filed was a court order that did not contain the signature of a judicial officer. In accordance with Administrative Order 19-5, the submitted order has been furnished to the department to which this case is assigned. I don't know if there is something I need to do on my part. I sent an email to the clerk but no response. I want to make sure I am not holding up the process. Please advise!

Update Your Profile
The notice you received should tell you what is considered deficient and therefore what you need to do about it; without seeing the paperwork, it is difficult to be more specific.  If you do not have an attorney, there are ways of getting some quick assistance.   Consider looking at the forms at the family law self-help center.  https://www.familylawselfhelpcenter.org/self-help     If you are unable to figure it out, consider a consultation at the free ask-a-lawyer event (now done telephonically) every Thursday afternoon, or consult the legal aid center to apply for assistance.
