Non-custodial father wants to see son, who has special needs, one year after withdrawing visitation petition. After year long battle in FC, dad had 6 months of court ordered visitation before he withdrew petition. Full pregnancy- not involved Reemerged when child was 3 months old, then disappeared for 8 months before court ordered visitation, which lasted for 5 months before he withdrew petition. Has not seen child since 1/3/16.
I understand your anger at the father for his non-involvement in your pregnancy and your child's life, but unless he is an abuser or a drug addict, let him see his son. Of course dad withdrew his petition and temporarily disappeared after the "long battle in FC"- who wants to be in a battle? Set up a visitation schedule, and if you haven't already done so, set up a child support payment schedule as well. The amount he must pay is determined by law and based on both of your salaries. Your son is entitled to have his father in his life, and to be supported by him.
