Asked on May 21st, 2013 on Family Law - Massachusetts
More details to this question:
I recently found out the child i have been taking care of for 5 years is not mine through dna testing. I informed the mother (eventhough im pretty sure she knew) she ran down to the court and filed to take me off child support and the legal rights with visitations and decisison making. Since she initiated this action can i ask to get the 5 years of support i have paid for the child? we did not have a relationship nor were we married. This case is out of Massachusetts

It is very unlikely that the court will order Mother to pay you back for 5 years of care that you provided for the child. Based on your question it is not clear under what statute you were ordered to pay child support. You should contact a local attorney to discuss your options.
