Paying child support when both parents are in the home

More details to this question:
I filed child support for my children when my kid's dad left the house.. He justvmoved back and I know he's just being served.. Do we need to go through the steps filing child support.. I was under the impression that if both parents live under one roof child support can not be served

I am guessing your child support case is through the department of revenue. You need to notify DOR that you no longer want to pursue the child support case.
