READY FOR DIVORCE BUT SCARED!

am a stay at home mom with a 4 year old child, my husband works on tug boats weeks on and off and I am ready to Divorce. The only thing keeping me is my fears because I have no income and he is verbally abusive. I am scared of what he is capable of if I told him I was leaving. My mother has opened her home to me in Tampa, FL but I know I cannot take my child out of state due to certain laws. I am also scared he will no longer provide for my daughter and I. Can anyone help me with Legal advice on what I can do? Can I leave to Florida with my daughter while currently living in Savannah, GA? Are there any laws that can make him continue to financially help until divorce is finalized? Please help! Thank you!
