QUESTION

Relocating Case(NY to FL)

Asked on Mar 27th, 2015 on Child Custody - New York
More details to this question:
I filed a petition to move from NY to FL with my 2 year old daughter. The father I know will object, which I am prepared to go to court and prove my case. But do I have to give the father a written notice about wanting to relocate? Or are the papers I serve him saying I wish to relocate the notice? Or do I need to give him both?

No, the papers you filed to relocate are sufficient to give him notice.  You won't be able to leave, however, until the petition is heard. Good luck
