It's difficult to answer your question without fully knowing your situation. That being said, even if you're not working, you can be assessed an earning capacity based on what you have made in the past and what you reasonably could be earning now. If you need the income, it may be advisable to return to work part-time. A full consultation with an attorney would best tell you your options, however.
