More details to this question:
The father wants nothing to do with my child and has completely cut off contact. Am i able to have him legally sign over his rights to the child in case he decides to try to come back? He refuses to stand in court and has said multiple times that he doesnt want to pay child support. He is also not on the birth certificate

If he is not on the birth certificate, he would have to take you to court to have his name put on the birth certificate. Right now, it is as if your child has no father.
