More details to this question:
I was divorced in February. I was ordered to pay spousal support and child support. I get paid every other week and they take $570 out of every check for support. I tried a motion for reconsideration and was told it would be a different judge. I ended up with the same judge and he upheld his decision. I only make $18.50 an hour. My gross pay is only $1480.00 bi weekly. After taxes and benefits, I take home between $500 and $600 for 2 weeks. My bills are coming to more than that. Between rent, car insurance, utility bills. I am in the red every month and getting deeper. Can someone PLEASE HELP ME??????????
You should have had a lawyer represent you on your Motion for Reconsideration.
You need to meet as soon as possible with a very experienced lawyer who devotes his/her ENTIRE practice to New Jersey Divorce and Family Law matters, go over your situation in detail, get educated answers to your questions, and obtain expert guidance as to the best course of action. In my opinion, it will be well worth the cost of the meeting.

I suggest that we set up what I call an Assessment, so that I can review the relevant facts with you, let you know what I think and how to best proceed.
I have found that an Assessment usually takes one hour. My hourly billing rate is $425. Therefore, at the beginning of the Assessment, we ask you to pay $425, which can be done by cash, check or credit card (VISA, MasterCard or American Express).
If the Assessment lasts more than one hour, we ask that you pay the additional fee (based on the time spent at my hourly billing rate) at the conclusion of the Assessment.
I firmly believe that the cost of the Assessment is well worth the "investment" given what is at stake.
If you want to set up an Assessment, please call us at 973-455-1220. Please ask for Dara Vanderhoof, who is my Scheduling Coordinator and will be able to set up a mutually convenient date and time for us to meet.
We look forward to hearing from you.
