The father of my child has not been in her life since she was 6 months old, she is now 2, he has never helped, left us in the cold snow when she was only 3 months old and a police report was done for domestic violence and threats and has since moved back to Florida. Is there any way I can terminate his rights so when I get married my spouse can legally adopt my child

After you have been married for a year you may be able to do a step parent adoption.
