QUESTION

what can i do about phone harassment

Asked on Jan 20th, 2013 on Family Law - Texas
More details to this question:
my soon to be ex husband is texting me atleast once if not more times a day and at any hour he chooses to. The texts are anywhere from threatening to manipulative to accusatory. Ive hired a divorce attorney but at this point he seems to be idle on all issues regarding my divorce and is never available to me. Ive gone to law enforcement and short of taking a statement they offer no other solution to this problem. i can not get my ex to stop even for a day. He has disrupted mine, my 3 year olds and my week and a half year olds sleep and life. I do not feel safe to leave my home even. I filed for a protective and restraining order thru my attorney and neither were granted. Im at my wits end and dont know at this point what to do about this whole situation.

I suggest getting a second opinion from another attorney. You can complain to the phone company, change phone numbers and take other actions. Have someone check the work done by your attorney.
