I plan to file for divorce soon. My husband has stated however, that he will quit his job so that I will not be able to collect alimony and child support. He makes about 3 times my salary.
If your spouse quits his job voluntarily, income can be imputed to him as if we were still working. Once he finds himself in arrears and in violation of a court order for failing to support his family, he will be highly motivated to find himself a new job. He is posturing and trying to intimidate you. How does he plan to support himself? I would recommend calling his bluff.
