What does it take to stop Spousal support?

Asked on Jan 10th, 2014 on Divorce - Virginia
More details to this question:
My husbands exwife has been living with her finace for over a year and now and I have proof. In the divorce papers, it states if she gets married or cohabitates with someone for over a year, he no longer has to pay alimony. How do we handle this legally?

You should consider filing a Motion to Terminate Spousal Support based on her cohabitation.  Be aware, however, that cohabitation is difficult to prove, because it requires "cohabitation in a relationship analogous to marriage for a continuous period of one year."  Thus, you'd want more than them simply living together.  I hope this helps.  Good luck.
