What do I need to do in order to change my son's last name to that of his father? My son was born in Maryland, but we live in Georgia. His father was in the service when he was born, so I gave him my last name. Once he returned home we married. So I have his last name but my son has my maiden name.

You need to hire a lawyer in Georgia to seek a name change. With both parents agreeing it will be fairly inexpensive and not take much over a month.
