QUESTION

What should I be doing differently?

Asked on Jul 05th, 2022 on Child Custody - Nevada
More details to this question:
What happens if I live out of state and my alienated child is a resident of Nevada? My ex does not allow me to talk to, receive information about, or receive photos of my child? My ex claims its because I do not pay minimum of $$$___/month (no child support order...I pay $100 usually). I have rights still even though my ex lets me see my child no longer than app 1-2 weeks at a time per year! Is he guilty of failure to co-parent, parental alienation, and parental kidnapping? My ex claims I abandoned my child, but I have been sending letters and calling the child at the grandmothers aside from trying so hard to see my child.

Obviously there is a significant back-story here, which might very well affect any recommendation of what you "should" be doing.  You should probably first review both the Child Custody and Child Support pages of our website to gain information about how the various sttutes work and will be applied, which may answer some of your other wuestions.  In any event, you should consult with a family law specialist to go over in detail the full factual and legal history, and get specific advice as to your options going forward.
