I submitted a minor name change to the supreme court for my children. The judge has denied it stating that the fathers have filed an opposition which makes it appear it is not in the best interest of the children. I was never served so i was told before the motion their oppositions could not be used legally. Both my children's fathers are incarcerated; nor have they had any real relationship with them in their 10 & 5 years. They do not pay support; and i have sole custody of one, no visitation rights for the other. I am re-married and my children and I would like them to have the same last names i do. Please help and tell me what to do next.
