Example: The weekend prior to Christmas Break was the mother's weekend. Christmas 2015 landed on the fathers weekend and he had access from that Friday through Christmas day. The children were exchanged on Friday Christmas day and remain with the mother through New Years which also would have been a Fathers weekend if not for the holiday. The following weekend January 8th is the problem. Who gets access? Is it the Mother because if not for the holiday it would be her standard weekend or the father because prior to the holiday the mother had the standard visitation?
Usually the parenting plan would specify that if due to the holiday timesharing one parent would have the child two weekends in the row, the parents would switch to prevent that from occurring. There is no right or wrong answer; it just depends on how your parenting plan is worded.
