My husband and I want a divorce. We want it to be a mutual in supportability divorce. My husband is in the Air Force. He pays state taxes, registered to vote and his home registered with the military is in another state. We got married where I am from. I have no cars registered and I am not registered to vote. We currently rent a home.

You can file for divorce in any state that you meet the residency requirement for. It does not matter where your Husband lives or is a resident. In North Carolina, you need to have resided in the state for more than 6 months prior to filing the Complaint for Divorce. Typically, you would file the Complaint in the county where you live.
