More details to this question:
My husband and I were married in MA, but then moved to FL where our marriage started falling apart. I then moved to NY, and then MA, and then back to FL to give the marriage one last go. It didn't work and now I live in MA again. My husband has remained in FL and will for the foreseeable future. Am I able to file in MA. We are filing uncontested.

Dear Anonymous,
If you were living together in Massachusetts at the time the marriage fell apart or if you have lived here for 12 consecutive months, then you can file in Massachusetts.
