Where do I file for divorce?

More details to this question:
Me and my husband according the NYS law are still married even we divorced in Slovakia, but we were married twice, once in NY, USA on 12/24/1990 and 2nd time in Slovakia renewed our wows in Slovakian City Hall on 7/24th,2001. According the Slovakian court decission we divorced the marriage from July 24,2001 my husband got the custody of our two children.I had visitation rights every other weekend,I spent the Holidays with the chidren every other year divided according the court decission. He took the children on 10/14th 2014 to USA and he ives in Verona NJ but I dont have the full address. Since this day I wasnt able to see my children. I want to apply for a divorce and ask for the custody of children. We,I, my husband and my children have a dual citizenship, that means US and Slovakian.I plan to travel to US end of December and ask my husband to let me meet the children. We are in contact via email, My question is do I file for divorce in NJ or NY?He is listed under a NY address.

If he meets the residency requirement in New Jersey you can file there, or you can file in your home country...or any U.S. State in which you meet the residency requirement.
