QUESTION

Will child support take any of my workers compensation settlement?

Asked on Apr 08th, 2015 on Child Support - Pennsylvania
More details to this question:
I'm expecting a settlement soon I've been paying my support order for years now in fact the $170 that i owe in arrears is simply because of the time I missed between getting injured at work and setting a new wage garnish with the insurance company. How much could support possibly take let's say if I settle for 100k

The typical procedure is that the amount of the settlement (i.e. 100k) will be calculated over 12 months as your income.  Domestic Relations will then assess you an income of 100k and determine your support obligations on a monthly basis (e.g. a monthly payment of $600 as an example)
