QUESTION

Will I lose custody?

Asked on Apr 06th, 2020 on Family Law - Florida
More details to this question:
Me and my current boyfriend live with eath other, I have had to quit my job because daycare interfered. I am now a stay at home mom and attend college online. My boyfriend has gotten a job offer as a sherriff but we have to move. The move will be about 160/170 miles away. Ex husband is not consistent on sticking to the approved time sharing plan. And I just found out that I am pregnant again. Could I lose custody of my child to my ex or will the move not be approved if we go to court?

Hello. There are specific relocation laws in regard to minor children. There are many factors and procedures. They have to do with notice, consent and additional statutory requirements. This is not an easy "yes - No" answer.    I will be happy to discuss your options with you.   Jodie Bassichis (954) 963-7300 jbassichislaw@gmail.com
