Will the attorney be returning the retainer I gave?

More details to this question:
I gave my attorney $900 with the balance of $700 due in monthly payments after my divorce is final. I no longer want this attorney to represent me - can I get my retainer back? (or a portion of it?)

Possibly. If you have a written agreement, look at it. If not, request a return of the unused retained in writing to his office.
