I live in NY State. I became pregnant by a man who I later found out is a Level 2 Sex Offender with a "Sexually Violent Offender" designation as the result of Sexual Contact, Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Promoting/Possessing Sexual Performance by a Child, and Disseminating Indecent Materials to a Minor. His official conviction was Sodomy - 1st Degree, the victim was his 6 year old niece. What are his chances of getting visitation of my child?

The father has a right to see his child. That said, you should file a petition for custody and make the court aware of his background and your concerns. If he wants to see the child it should be supervised visits only.
