Are there restrictions to owning cap guns in new jersey?

I'm just trying to see if it's legal to purchase a cap gun and have it shipped to my state, new jersey.

To be considered a "firearm" in NJ, it must fire a projectile. See NJ Statute 2C:39-1f. Therefore, a "cap gun" is not a gun. Edward Zohn, Attorney at Law, 908.791.0312.
