Can we sue a Dr. For deformation of character

More details to this question:
We were going through Dudes to be a foster parent and to adopt after we loss our son. 2 years ago husband had a bad incident and found out he had high blood pressure. While going through all the classes , back ground checks, fingerprinting, everything we had to do to comply. Everything came back good on both sides husbands Dr. Has a problem with him and when the Dr. Returned the forms to dyfes it was real bad, harsh , ignorant, and we are not allowed to foster or adopt.

It is really difficult to say what your chances are to sue for deformation. Reports to DCPP are confidential. You would have to show that the report was not just inaccurate but malicious. Was there some motivation for the attack. Obviously having high blood pressure should not be considered a negative, unless the doctor felt he was too old or infirm to care for a child.
