More details to this question:
I live in a community development and filed a complaint against a neighbor . the community said they sent the neighbor a letter. Can i ask the board of directors for a copy of the letter they sent them regarding my complaint. Personally i do not trust that they sent them a letter, they could be just blowing it off

You can indeed ask for a copy. Don't be surprised if they blow you off, however.
