QUESTION

Delinquent Property Taxes

Asked on Aug 04th, 2015 on General Practice - New Jersey
More details to this question:
I've been taking care of my husband full time for eight years because of a debilitating stroke. I have not made improvements to the house except for neighbors who put on a new roof for me in 2011. My taxes for 2014 are way past due and I'm worried that they will go to tax sale for not paying the full amount by December. I would like to know if there is anything I can do to prevent this from happening. I could pay the rest of the taxes by January. We are also in our sixties and don't seem to be eligible for any tax breaks, either.
