QUESTION
Do I need counsel before consenting to taking a polygraph? What are my rights?

More details to this question:
An ex-friend of mine is accusing me of setting up a break in that occurred at her home on 7/15/17. A detective contacted me after this happened and I went in voluntarily to clear my name as I had nothing to do with this. At the end of that first meeting the detective asked if it came to this point would I take a polygraph test. Yesterday he called to schedule the test. Two people suggested that I speak with a lawyer just to seek advice as to if I should go or not. I didn't think anything of it when it comes to taking the test but I just want to know if someone can give me some advice.

This is really something an attorney can only advise in the context of a lawyer-client relationship, not by an answer in this type of forum. I can only give general information, not specific legal advice. If you would like to call to set up a consultation to discuss further.
