More details to this question:
Ordered food from a restaurant, when it arrived I started eating. When I put the second bite of steak in my mouth I felt something pinch me, thinking it was a piece of cartilage I moved it around my mouth to slide it out. It was then I tasted the metal. I pulled out a flatten, long whole staple. Called the restaurant immediately, they only offered a refund of my steak- I accepted but haven't seen anything. It has since been hard for me to even by food thinking there will be something inside it.

You can sue, but you are unlikely to win anything more than the price of your meal.  You don't have any other damages, no medical expenses, no lost work.
