QUESTION

HOA making it against the rules to fly drone on my property or above it

Asked on Apr 01st, 2016 on General Practice - Tennessee
More details to this question:
My HOA has stated I can no longer fly my toy drone anywhere in my neighborhood. Ever. No time restrictions or anything. I usually fly it over my roof and then follow all FAA regulations I can find. It is not listed in my CCR's, it is just in the local flyer.

As a general rule, the HOA can only enforce what is contained in the bylaws. If the bylaws contain not restrictions on the use of drones, then it has no authority to prohibit the use of drones.
