Asked on Feb 05th, 2018 on General Practice - Tennessee
More details to this question:
My ex boyfriend and I decided that I fix his truck so I could use it since I was carless, I gave him $200 dollars in October and $700 in the middle of January. Last week I saw a great deal and decided to take it, I bought another car. I have requested he gives me the money back and even asked for a date he would pay me back and he has refused to acknowledge me, instead he ignores me. I tried to reach out to his family to help us reach a conclusion and he still refused to get back to me. I want to sue him so that I can get my money back

You can sue him in General Sessions Court for the money. Go to the clerk of the General Sessions Court in the county where you live and they will explain the process.
