QUESTION

How can i look at the surveillance camera footage from walmart?

Asked on Sep 14th, 2011 on General Practice - Florida
More details to this question:
My car got keyed on walmart parking lot. I had a good idea who it was since i saw the people that don''t like me and told the police. It was 1 AM so the police wasn''t able to look at the surveillance cameras to see who it was. Anyway the police officer went to one of the suspects house and said that they have cameras outside and asked is she did it. She said yes and got arrested for it. I know there was another person with her and i want to look at the cameras to see if her friend was involved but walmart will not let me without police and police told me to drop it since they arrested one person. How can i get a hold off that video from walmart?

You would have to subpoena it.  To do so, you would probably need to sue the person who did it, and use that as a basis.  It would probably cost a lot more than it is worth to pursue it.  You are lucky they got a person to confess.  I agree with the police. Let it go.  You should have more important things to occupy yourself than to fixate on this.  Why not join a neighborhood surveillance group?
