I live in NJ, The person is in Illinois... We cut our ties with this person since my father passed away in last year She's an former girl friend of my father and had a child with her (who now is turning 18 yrs old) We avoided her due to a lot of negativity is being said regarding my father who has passed and we no longer want to hear all of her badmouthing about my father. since then she has been posting false and damaging comments on facebook about my family. I was ignoring it for awhile until she started involving my children and nephews (minors). Posting also include pictures about us and also the children. our race too is mentioned. How do I file this and what steps I need to do
I have had an issue like this before. Go on your Facebook page and in the upper right hand corner there is the the "home" button and next to it is a down arrow. If you click on that a drop down screen appears. At the bottom of the list is "Help" and if you click on that you get another drop down screen that lists "Report a problem", click on that and on then at the bottom it will say "Report Abuse". Go to that page. There are a lot of options. You can get Facebook to delete the abusive messages, ban the person, remove the photos, etc. You need to be specific about what is wrong, you will get an email message that they are responding to it. You need to follow up with the person assigned to address it. Good Luck - and if you need more help with Facebook, let me know.
